“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”-Eric Roth

I’m glad i always describe myself as an occasional blogger. because i have been terrible about keeping up with this blog. so what has happened. hmmmmm, we moved. AGAIN. but i am so in love with our new place.

i started school, i’m taking a business class online. it’s great but i decided to also start school at Paul Mitchell for cosmetology. i’m excited to be creative in another medium besides writing and to start a completely different career. it’ll be difficult managing our little family with andrew working full time and me in school nights but we think the sacrifice is worth it.

we also made another family decision, andrew is going to take the LSATs. and we will move to wherever he gets into law school. so some pretty exciting, challenging and fun stuff is happening in our family.

the babies are good. starkweather is almost 2 and grey is 9 months. they are starting to become friends and can play together sometimes without me interfering too much. however starkweather really likes to knock over grey when she pulls herself up. grey is almost walking which is incredible considering she is so young. but she is completely fearless which is exhausting.

So I knew when I had kids I wanted to keep that tradition alive. When Starkweather was one she was a shark and her father and I were a shark and Quint from Jaws.

This year Starkweather was a spider and I was the web. My husband was the Empire State Building and Grey was King Kong. After Grey was over it we put the King Kong garb on Starkweather and made her King Kong. I can’t wait until next year when I can torture them again by making them dress up as Hall & Oates.  Continue reading
